Visiting and browsing

Part of one of the horseshoe-shaped towers (Image from Wikimedia Commons) is visible which may possibly have belonged to the legionary fortress, although the phasing of this site is unclear (and hence it was excluded from the book).

There is an excellent German-language Wikipedia page on the site which repays visiting. There is also material available on the recent excavations on the site, as well as a brief popular account of the bath-building. There is an exceptionally detailed and fully referenced Römische Limes in Österreich page (as part of the larger Frontiers of the Roman Empire project).

Additional information for inclusion may be sent to info@legionaryfortresses.info
(please put fortress site name in the subject line; all other emails may be treated as spam and deleted).
